Safe, Inclusive & Supportive Schools for Students
Students learn best when they feel safe, respected, valued and welcomed. Pamela’s goals include fostering inclusive learning environments and school cultures that reflect a safe and supportive place to learn through quick and effective responses to bullying and violence and improving equitable outcomes and opportunities for all students.
#2: STRONG LEARNING
Student Success & Strong Foundations
Students can reach their full potential when student learning is kept at the centre of Board decisions. Pamela’s focus is on building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy and ensuring that every student has access to effective support systems and access to technology.
#3: SUPPORTED EDUCATORS
Supporting Teachers & Other School Support Staff
Teachers and School Support Staff require supports in place to teach students effectively. Pamela aims to actively engage with and consult Teachers and Support Staff, support them with ongoing recruitment of TTOCs and Support Staff and ensuring strong mental health resources are easily accessible.
#4: RESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP
Responsible Spending & Accountability
A fiscally responsible Board ensures that taxpayers’ dollars are used where they have the greatest impact on student achievement. Pamela plans to allocate funds for student programs and services and increased staffing and support, while maintaining a healthy surplus in the budget.
#5: PLANNING FOR ABBOTSFORD’S FUTURE
A School System Ready for The Future
Abbotsford is growing, and schools need to be ready. This requires thoughtful and strategic planning. Pamela is committed to investing in our schools. Her focus is on repairing school facilities and playgrounds to create safe, sustainable spaces to learn and play, equipping classrooms with digital learning tools, and better preparing students for the workplace after graduation.
Abbotsford has tremendous potential but we need to work on realizing that together, and it starts with our youngest.

I’m an educator, a parent, and a community advocate who believes that what happens in the classroom reaches far beyond its walls. My experiences with students, families, and my own family have shaped my commitment to creating strong, supportive communities where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
